Though, to be fair, plenty of arguments can be made for the Medievalism of that priceless delight. The lyrics would be at home in any period; the sentiment (and all else that renders it so exquisite) transcends all boundaries of periodicity; and it was first encountered as a St Patrick‘s Day Special on one of the Obrienatrix’s favourite blogs.
