Les Visiteurs (1993): dir. Jean-Marie Poiré; script Christian Clavier & Jean-Marie Poiré; with Jean Reno, Christian Clavier, Valérie Lemercier, etc. This is the original French film version – there was an earlier TV series, and there was a later (not recommended) US remake. One of my Top Three Medieval Movies.

An outstanding Medieval French film, of a comic nature. That shouldn’t spoil any surprises. The whole film is available on YouTube, in a number of shortish clips, thanks to the laudable and heroic efforts of “Boubala25.” Who deserves at least a Chevalier dans l’Ordre National du Mérite for such diligent services to French culture.
