All our posts have been rather serious of late. Mainly jobs. It is time for Medievalists and Renaissanceurs to be lightly entertained. Maybe even lighty salted, and crisp and snappy, like the best sort of refreshment-accompanying snack. The next topic will be BLASONS & CONTREBLASONS.

Starting with the Clément Marot and the Renaissance French tradition; with whatever variations on the theme I find in other European literatures of the time (not having looked outside the very rich French vein, this is at this stage A Great Unknown) in my meanderings along the way (having found material a-plenty on the French side and in Joyous Tangents); and with incitement to produce fakes.
